The Lemon Chicken was delicious. Every bite was full of flavor. I asked for another piece of toast and they brought it free of charge. They made me feel very welcome. I was on my way back from a funeral and it was 3:00 in the afternoon. I expected it to be empty but there were several other tables filled. The locals must appreciate this gem as well!
We had a very nice lunch today at George's. Our server was very nice, and our food came out pretty quick. Lunch time is always a busy time at George's. This is the first time we had the buffalo chicken wrap. It had the appearance of being microwaved and not very fresh, but the flavor was good. Their homemade chips were good and fresh. We were also happy with the chicken wings and chicken fingers we ordered. We will return and next time hoping to try the Mediterranean skewers.
Was in town and decided to stay away from the chain places. Stopped in around 4pm Sunday and was seated quickly. Staff was great got the homemade chips and stuffed ravioli both were great especially the homemade chips. For the meal it was a large pizza and Mediterranean chicken kabobs. The pizza had a almost pretzel like crust on it. Both were great. When in town again it's going to be a must visit.
This is the third George's restaurant we've been to, the others are in Henderson and Warrenton NC, this is a great place for families, couples, groups or on your own. The menu is the same as the others and they have specials too. Parking is plentiful, access is good and the place is very clean. Service was very good and attentive and the food was lovely. Would definitely recommend and will go again. We had the clam chowder, and the chicken pot pie, both excellent and good size servings.
The place is so warm and heartworming and the service is rare top notch ..the waitress were always smiles and did thier job well and went beyond the diner service standards which has been declining lately.. pet friendly as well ..we came around 3 pm on a monday and there was some crowd still and they apid attention to details and water foe our puppy the to go boxes arrived ...the food was well decent we aint expecting amazing from a diner but it was pretty good ..wings were not dry ..the kebobs were juicy enought so as not to chew ..the songs are classic 70s rock which we loved ..atmosphere was nice and quiet laid back just what you wanton a lazy afternoon..highly recommend !!!! We went for Mother’s Day, the time was 30 minutes for 7 adults and 2 kids. The food was on point and worth the wait. Our waiter was patient and was always a step ahead of us with our needs. Enjoyed immensely!
This restaurant is very nice, cozy, and comfortable. I just love the ambiance of the dining room light fixtures and comfortable seating. The food here is very delicious. The Pizza is very appealing and appetizing. The chopped steak was nice and tender. It was smothered in mushroom, and onion gravy with mashed potatoes and a garden salad on the side. The clam chowder is the best that I have ever tasted. It was filled with so much favor. The chicken wings are nice and tender with a nice crispiness. My favorite entree was the chicken parmesan. You get two large pieces of lightly breaded chicken with your order. Very filling. I added grilled shrimp to this entree. It was smothered in so much cheese. Perfect for a cheese lover like myself. The angel hair spaghetti was cooked just right. This dish is so delicious it is hard to put your fork down. George’s is a great restaurant for great food.
Excellent flounder and shrimp. Nice fresh salad. The waitress was the most efficient and the atmosphere was great. Looking forward to our next visit, everything that went by us looked delicious.
